James Kalm; Roughcut, April 2024 Choosing green as the theme, photographer Cibele Vieira, has created a series of images that combine an homage of Méret Oppenheim's "Le Déjeuner en fourrure" (The fur lined teacup) of 1936, with society's perverse symbol of nature, the lawn. Vieira pairs the reality of 600 square feet of living turf with six high keyed color photos of "grass" formed into a cup forms, presenting both the receptacle for, and the offering of, a quenching of thirst.
